War and Peace blogpost 15/10/2018

Communism is a political ideology in which all businesses,factories and farms are state owned and instead of these businesses attempting to make a profit and the worker getting paid for their labour they instead are collectivized in which all goods are given to the state and then distributed to the people. Communism does not need more than one political party as all decisions are made within the politburo by comittee. Communism is designed for fairness and equality and strongly believes in these values. Communism is designed for all resources to be shared communally hence the name.

Capitalism is a political ideology in which businesses factories and farms are privately owned and are designed for making a profit, if this requires workers to be exploited then so be it. This means that it is far easier for there to be wage gaps as it is an exploitative system in which each member of society is trying to gaing the most capital, hence the name.  Capitalism has multiple political parties and encourages people voting however they like, this can result in people being divided over which government is in power and often things that could be benificial for all are blocked due to the partisan nature of this ideology. Capitalism believes in freedom even to the extent where others are suffering because of it.

This is my timeline showing my 10 favourite dates from the cold war.

You can see on the left of the picture is the house with the barn to the left of it and the field to the right, below the house is the long winding road to the store and church. I decided to make this road long because  it took Ann a minute to get there when she was running filled with adrenaline so it would have to be a large distance away from the store. There is the treeline with bushes above on the very right of the picture which we know is raised because of when Ann is hiding from Mr loomis, there is the pond full of fish in the very top right corner and there is the radioactive stream with no fish just below it which is close to the treeline which we know when Ann leads Faro into it from the trees

2/07/18 ITHE

Today we finished working on our microbit project and did a self assessment using the Digital Technology Rubric stating where we are and why we are at that level. After that I finished doing some work for my other class clone wars or CLON for short. The reason I think I am at level 5 relational for digital technologies because I am already good at block coding and I am learning javascript for my impact project. My proof for why I think I am at this stage of the rubric is the numerous coding projects I have worked on both in class and at the mindlab

27/06/18 ITHE

Today we spent a majority of the lesson doing an e-asttle test for algebra. I managed to get a higher score than when I did the test on April 8 so I am improving. After that we did a bit more work on organising and making our javascript code take up less space.

25/06/18 ITHE blogpost

I arrived late in class due to having to choose my classes for next semester and the only thing me and Ryan really achieved before I had to leave for the orthodontist was to get the buzzer to work effectively completing our work. I am writing this blog 2 days afterwards due to not having been able to at the time.

Learning Questions for Mrs Highland

 I am trying to show my understanding as a  learner to what I want out of my learning and what I would change from the current model by answering these 5 questions

1. Name one specific thing about your learning at Campion that really engages you and why?

2. How do you prefer to learn something new?
3. If you could change anything about how the school is organized to support your learning what would it be,why would you change it and how would you change it?
4. How important to you is it to know why you are learning something,how important to you is it to know how you are assessed and could this be improved?
5. What is the best environment for you to learn in and why?

 

1. The ability to use digital technology is really useful as I can type much faster and it feels less restricted and allows my thoughts to flow easily into my work compared to worrying about my handwriting and spelling mistakes.
2. I usually prefer to have a teacher lecture me new stuff and take down notes so I can fully understand what it is I need to learn.
3. I would make it so there were no more books or worksheets and just make it all online. I would change this because it means we don't have to waste money buying books and stationary and it would mean we would not have to spend time getting out pencil cases and books and teachers would not have to spend time printing out worksheets and handing them out at the beginnings of lessons. I would put this change into effect by just having next semester have all the classes have the work solely on workspace and just get rid of the requirement to have books and stationary on the stationary list meaning everybody can save heaps of cash.
4. I do enjoy knowing why I am learning something as it gives a little more depth to my learning. I like knowing how I am being assessed so I can adjust the way I show my learning accordingly so I get better grades.
5. The best environment for me to learn in would ideally look like a university lecture with the teacher at the front of the class doing the teaching with the students taking notes on their computers and doing their work. I enjoy this environment as I don't have to interact with the teacher and can just get on with my work.

I have answered in depth all the questions that Mrs Highland  wanted me to answer. The next thing for me to do is to possibly give her some feedback about how the school is doing currently and what the school has already improved on or changes I would like to be reversed. There are a few questions about my learning I would have liked to answer for example what my opinions are on impact projects,the modern learning environments and the cross curricular learning system compared to the old single cell subject system.
I came up with all this information and these opinions are solely my own though I would like to credit Mrs Highland for supplying the questions about my learning.
